The Role:
We’re hiring a full-time West Coast Events Manager, someone who loves curating unforgettable experiences and thrives on executing events down to the tiniest detail.
You’ll be responsible for all IRL events on the West Coast: from ideation to execution, you’ll bring local events to life and lean on our members for ideas and input. You’ll help make sure our members feel connected and keep them up to date on what’s going on in their hub city.
This role reports to our Director of Events and works closely with our East Coast Events Manager and City Leads. You’ll share learnings and collaborate to create valuable experiences for our members.
This role is part creative visionary and part operator. If you’re not energized by planning events from start to finish (in addition to playing host), this isn’t the job for you.
What You'll Do:
- Own the full local events calendar for our 8+ West Coast cities
- Curate unique “only-in-Hampton” experiences
- Source and book speakers for our Beyond the Boardroom series
- Help members self-organize events with your guidance
- Build relationships with vendors, venues, speakers, restaurants, and cool local operators
- Handle end-to-end logistics: marketing the events, tracking budgets, building run-of-shows
- Look for ways to surprise & delight a great host who goes the extra mile
- Monitor member convos in Slack and proactively spin up events based on what you’re seeing
- Constantly gather feedback, iterate, and level-up playbooks
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience, ideally in community/events or marketing
- You’ve planned multiple events simultaneously, and are organized, detail-obsessed, and can juggle a million moving parts without dropping the ball
- You’re comfortable with Notion, Airtable, and Slack
- You work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and accountability
