About Hampton

Hampton is a private network for high-growth founders running tech-enabled companies with $3M+ in revenue.

Our members are ambitious builders scaling successful companies looking for more than just tactical advice or transactional networking. They want depth. They want peers who truly get it. They want a place where they can talk about the wins, the screwups, the quiet doubts, and the "okay... what now?"

They're scaling businesses, but they also know that their next 10x comes from growing themselves as leaders. That's why they join Hampton.

At the center of Hampton are Core Groups: small, hand-curated circles of founders who meet in person every month to work through their hardest challenges, trade unfiltered feedback, and hold each other accountable at a level that only true peers can. This is where trust is built, breakthroughs happen, and the real value of Hampton comes to life.

The Role

We're hiring Hampton Moderators to lead our in-person Core Groups. Each Core Group is led by a Moderator who guides the same 8 to 10 founders and CEOs through a 3-hour session every month, in their own city.

This is a part-time, paid contract role, not a full-time staff position. We hire Moderators city by city, based on where we're launching new Core Groups, so you'll need to be based in (or regularly in) one of Hampton's chapter cities.

Beyond Core Groups, founders plug into curated local events, immersive retreats, and an active global digital community. But Core is the heart of Hampton, and as a Moderator, you make Core work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Moderate 10 Core Group sessions a year. 3 hours, in person, same city, same group of 8 to 10 founders and CEOs.
  • Guide conversations that matter. There is no small talk inside a Hampton Core Group.
  • Read the room. Know when to push, when to pause, and when to call someone out.
  • Run Hampton's curriculum as designed. You'll be trained on a proven format and your job is to bring it to life.
  • Hold members to Hampton's 3 Cs: Commitment, Confidentiality, Candor.
  • Create a 360° mirror where founders get the truth they need, not the comfort they want. You're not there to fix anyone or tell anyone what to do. You're there to make sure the real thing gets said out loud, and met by the room.
  • Keep the group tight between sessions. Scheduling, agenda confirmations, the group's Slack channel, a short post-session debrief, and a 1:1 with each new member who joins mid-year. Roughly 2 to 4 hours a month.

Who You Are

  • You've sat in the chair. Most of Hampton's strongest moderators have built, scaled, or run a company themselves: founders with exits, COOs, chiefs of staff who scaled a team from 15 to 1,000.
  • You've done the reps holding a room. Coaching, facilitation, or peer-group work. What matters is that guiding ten people through a hard conversation is a skill you've practiced.
  • You can be warm and direct at the same time. Candor with care. The best moderators do both in the same breath.
  • You run the format as designed. You'll be trained on Hampton's curriculum and expected to follow it.
  • You're reliable in the unglamorous parts. Confirmations sent, surveys filed, new members called, attendance held to the standard. Groups are won and lost between sessions.
  • You're in this for the room, not the pipeline. Moderators don't pitch, sell, or recruit inside Hampton. Members are off-limits as a business development channel. Our strongest moderators have thriving practices and keep them entirely outside these walls.

Compensation & Perks

  • $1,000 per session. Set per group based on group profile and moderator experience.
  • Paid monthly. Submit one invoice for the month's sessions.
  • Travel stipend. Up to $1,000 per group each year for in-person time with your members.
  • $3,000 referral bonus for every qualified member you refer who joins and stays past two months, $4,500 for members you refer into your own group.
  • Room to grow. New moderators start with one group and can take on up to three.
  • No selling. Hampton recruits, screens, and matches every member. You never sell seats or fill your own group.
  • Trained and supported. Full onboarding on the Hampton curriculum, a Chapter Lead in your city, a private moderator community, and an ops team on logistics.

This is a part-time, independent contractor role on a 12-month group cycle, renewable on performance, leading Core Groups in person in your city.
