Hampton is actively growing in-person Core Groups across 13 cities: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, London, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Toronto & Vancouver.
The Role
Hampton is at a pivotal moment of growth, expanding into new markets and deepening the value we deliver to founders. Our Core Team is central to that mission. They serve as trusted partners to our founders, guiding them through Core Groups, local events, membership support, and renewals.
We’re looking for a Member Success Manager to own and grow our emerging cities, ensuring founders have an exceptional experience throughout their Hampton journey. You’ll operate as both a strategist and hands-on operator, balancing relationship management, event execution, and process optimization to deliver a white-glove experience at scale.
This role sits at the intersection of community strategy, operations, and founder success. You’ll play a critical part in shaping how we expand and replicate excellence in new markets, while also working directly with founders to strengthen engagement and retention.
The position is based in New York City and will require periodic travel to assigned cities to attend events, meet founders, and support local community initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Own the member experience across your assigned cities, from onboarding and Core Group placement to renewals and ongoing engagement.
- Serve as a trusted partner to founders, ensuring every interaction feels personal, seamless, and high-impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across events, operations, marketing, and leadership to deliver consistent excellence and share insights from your markets.
- Shape and refine playbooks for city operations, identifying best practices and efficiencies that can scale across new and existing markets.
- Track performance metrics such as retention, event satisfaction, and Core Group health, using data to guide strategy and decision-making.
- Act as a thought partner to leadership, contributing ideas for community growth, member engagement, and market expansion.

You are probably a fit if you are:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in community, customer success, or operations roles, with a track record of delivering exceptional member experiences
- Confident in daily founder-facing interactions and relationship building.
- A quick-learning, self-starter who thrives in ambiguity while staying detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communicator who combines empathy and active listening with humility, wit, and warmth.
Bonus points for…
- Experience in customer success, operations, venture platform, hospitality, or other client-facing, membership, or community roles.
- Experience with HubSpot, Airtable, Notion, Slack, or similar tools
- Comfortable with founder/ startup lingo
